If you look closely at Silverstream Reserve, you may spot some of our native wetland species!
In New Zealand we have four native rose genera:
1. Argentina, a wetland herb
2. Rubus, our different lawyer spp.
3. Acaena, our many biddy-bids.
4. Geum spp. (mostly montane, subalpine)
Today, in bloom, was the native wetland rose, Argentina anserinoides.
